K & C shoot each other (with a camera, of course!)

Yesterday, my best friend Kristen and I had a photoshoot with each other. I already posted photos of the shoot itself, but I finally sat down and did some editing on the shots I captured of her. Enjoy them :)

What good is a photoshoot if you don't have any fun?? Two years ago, my best friend Kristen and I joined our photography together and created our own business, K & C Photography. We've done multiple photoshoots with our friends, but today we decided to shoot each other (with our cameras, of course!). After we played around with my equipment and took some serious shots, we set up my tripod and went to town. Boy, did we have a fun time taking pics of ourselves. Here's just a little behind-the-scenes action. I love to showcase the joy and laughter that comes with two best friends doing what they love. :)

We actually really love each other. :)

Merry Christmas to All...

So blessed to have received a multitude of photography equipment for Christmas. Thank you to my wonderful parents. They bought me a tripod, reflecting disks, a solar polarizer, a low-aperture lens, an external flash, and a few other nifty gadgets. I can't wait to use them for photoshoots, but until then, I'll keep photographing the moon! Got some great shots last night. Enjoy them, and if you have any questions about photography equipment, I'd be happy to answer them! Just comment and I can send you an email :)

I took this one using my tripod and a shutter speed of 30 seconds. You can see from the stillness of the trees that no (or minimal) motion of the camera occurred, but the movement of the moon & stars were captured. It's amazing that a camera can capture the natural movement of the Earth, whereas it can't be seen solely by the human eye.

'Tis the Season

I'm finally home for winter break!! Day one at home was a success: Christmas tree picking with my family. I didn't contribute much to the actual chopping down of the tree, but I fulfilled my need to photograph after months of not being able to. I'm definitely going to take a lot of pics and update my blog in the next six weeks that I'm home.

Also, feel free to follow my Instagram page @clairecphotography to get quick snapshots of my photos.

Enjoy :-)

Thanks to this stud, that is my brother, for modeling for me today and putting up with my dictatorial commands. You're a real trooper.

...and just for fun, here's a blooper shot of him struttin' his stuff.
