New Year, New Equipment, New Creations

What a nice weekend getaway with my family. We went to Boston for a few days, so I took advantage of the change of location. These first few shots are just of my brother in the hotel:

These were taken at the top of the Prudential Center, a 50-story building in the heart of Boston. It overlooks the entire city, which is lovely, despite my deathly fear of heights. In fact, I was majorly panicking while taking these photos:

^I just love that you're able to see the entire city. The fear of heights is irrational, and only comes from the fact that being way up off the ground is unnatural. Some people are undaunted by this - we don't choose to be afraid. Sometimes we just are. But, when you think of it as power, being above everyone, reaching heights that aren't reached on a day-to-day basis; you develop a new perspective. You realize that it's a privilege to be able to see so much at one time.

And just for fun, here's another shot of the moon. :)
